You tell Vic that you want to ask for a complete commitment. That you've got the feeling that more is wrong than you've just witnessed.

You profess your love for them and that you want to be with them no matter what. Telling Vic that you both can work through any issue, as long as you both commit completely. You take their hand. Vic still hasn't spoken.

"Please Vic. I love you and want to know you completely. I am not certain of anything except us having no chance if we aren't honest with each other."

Vic places their hands on your face. The feeling and sound of tape rewinding and replaying at incredible speed rings in your head. Suddenly you know that you've only known Vic since that day in the cafe but that you have memories of you both as old friends as well. You even remember that those memories seemed to have only pockets of vivid detail amongst a sea of vagueness. Now it seems obvious why, because Vic invented it and shoved it into your head. Vic is watching you intently, worried. As if they've done something they now regret.

You reach out to Vic. They accept your hands. "I want to try to work this out Vic." you plead. "So do I" is all they say.

After months together since recommitting to each other, you and Vic are feeling much better. The relationship has resolved into a comfortable pattern of you working and having fun with Vic on your down time. Mostly this is watching anime, but you are also both taking trips overseas together.

You've learned more about Vic. Vic has admitted godhood in a brief sense but can't explain it in total. Vic says this is mostly because godhood means an omnitemporal existence. Their age or their past is an odd concept to a being who lived present in all times. Descending to exist in three dimensions has meant all kinds of challenges.

You learn about each other and from each other. Vic admits they were wrong to do what they were doing but also that it isn't a big deal. They keep telling you that your perspective is so narrow, as if what you experience is all there is. They laugh about it.
