Story 1 (unfinished, experimental)
You approach the house. It seems normal. You are compelled by a desire to enter that you do not understand. You have walked this road many times and seemingly by this house many times. With it's unassuming narrow facade, it bears no interesting features. You have no memory of ever seeing it before and yet here it is on one of your most walked streets. It's here now and now that you notice it, you cannot unnotice it. Your awareness of it now and your shock at your unawareness of it before utterly captivates you.
You are in two minds. You want to understand this house and know what about it prevented your awareness. "Now that it's here", you catch yourself thinking, you wonder why you thought that. Surely it was always here. Houses can't just suddenly exist when they didn't before. You want to knock on the door but an instinctive thread in your mind revolts at the implicaton of houses that appear. Such houses might disappear as well. The thought dwarfs all others. Reasoning about this had occupied your focus to an almost trancelike effect, you realise you're standing right at the door and catch yourself right before you knock. Looking around you notice the world around has become inexplicably dark. It was 10 AM when you set out. A deep anxiety besets you such that refuge anywhere would feel better than being here as the world darkens, but you feel a deep instinctive sense that everything is wrong and you must get away.
